Sarah Massey who proudly told reporters she once broke a toilet  due to her 7 foot circumference behind is now looking for encouragement from her BWDW Sisters to get healthy and fit! She regrets the interview  for giving her a negative portrayal for feeling good about her weight and is now working with her trainer Sheila Simmons  who has helped her lose over 100 pounds! Sheila says that working with Sarah is a blessing because she is the sweetest and kindest person she has ever known. Sarah knows that feeling sexy can only get you so far but your health is your first wealth and she is capitalizing by changing her lifestyle for the better.

Trainer Sheila Simmons says that Sarah’s challenge is to get under 400 pounds by eating for the next two weeks a 1200 calorie diet.  “She has one protein shake for breakfast, a veggie meal for lunch, and a meat and vegetable at night. Her snack is a bag of 100 calorie almonds or a piece of fruit. This is for the next two weeks. However, I eventually want her to join Food Addicts In Recovery Anonymous.” she says.

Sarah may not have lost the amount of weight that she wanted by reaching her goal for under 400 pounds for the new year, but she has definitely lost inches. You can clearly see that her body is getting firmer and tighter which is the right kind of motivation for her to keep moving in the right direction.

How she achieved her results

When Shelia started with Sarah, she  would see her twice a week in her home but it was too far for her to drive so they started Skype training in May of  2013.  Presently, she trains three times a week for one hour via Skype and sees the physical therapist two times a week. One of Sarah’s goal is to attend Sheila’s fitness classes once she’s in better shape which are two nights a week and on Saturday morning.

Her dietitian put her on a 1200 calorie diet which she was following until recently. Sarah didn’t feel like she was making progress so I suggested the Smoothie Jumpstart eating plan. Instead of smoothies, she is using the SPIRU-TEIN replacement drinks instead. Sarah replaces two meals with the shakes and has one meal a day with snacks. After she drinks the shake, she drinks a full glass of water and this keeps her full until her next meal.  Sheilia suggested that she put the shake powder in the blender with 2 ice cubes and 8 ounces of lactose free milk, almond, soy or rice milk. This process makes the drink frothy like a milk shake. Sarah stated she wants to drop another 100 pounds by following the Smoothie Jumpstart Diet Plan.
