Hi may name is Kim and this is my story. I am no stranger to facing obstacles. I am a single parent, working professional, grandmother and a 12 year Breast Cancer Survivor! With all of that, I found myself weighing more than I could have ever imagined and I knew that if I wanted to be healthy I needed to do something about it. I started following Black Women “DO” Workout! and got motivated enough to seek out a workout that felt would work for me and my goals. crossfit kim daily workout_edited-6Crossfit was the perfect challenge for me and in November of 2013 I kicked off my journey weighting in at 183 pounds. The training was challenging and started off feeling sort of rough but as I pushed myself through not only in the gym but by following a clean eating meal plan. I was able to get used to the routine quickly. I organized having 5 to 6 meals a day to sustain the exhausting Crossfit workouts and to maintain a healthy weight. With the help of my trainer and a lot of determination, I made it to by goal weight. On July 8th, 2014 I am happy to say I weighed in at 148 pounds. I’m nearly at my goal of weight between 138 and 145. I am a walking testimony showing that when you put your mind to something, you can achieve your goals. I always remember that it all begins with the mind. If I can do it then so can you!
